About A Vampire’s Coming to Dinner
• Reading level: Ages 4-8
• Hardcover: 16 pages
• Publisher: Price Stern Sloan (August 12, 2010)
Read along as the narrator of this story comes up with some very practical rules for dealing with a vampire. But rules are meant to be broken, aren’t they? From feeding the vampire garlic to filling the house with mirrors, the narrator is doing just that! With ten full-page gatefolds and a pop at the end of the book, kids will love seeing which rules are being followed and which aren’t!
“Kids will delight in lifting each flap to reveal retro-styled spreads in which the boy outwits the vampire at every turn…the book is a ghoulishly good time. Ages 3-up.” (Aug.) –Publishers Weekly

What an informative article about Pamela Jane, a very special writer. As a former elementary teacher, I KNOW children are going to read with relish A Vampire’s Coming to Dinner: 10 Rules to follow. The ghoulish llustrations bring the vampire right into the living room! And the lift the flaps are cleverly designed. And just in time for Halloween! Or any other day when the reader would like to feel deliciously spooked!
