Robert Andrew Provan is an award-winning author renowned for his kid’s educational series that blend captivating storytelling with essential lessons on environmental stewardship. Robert’s deep-rooted love for the environment traces back to his childhood in the idyllic mountains of Vermont, where he was mesmerized by the region’s pristine streams, rivers, and lakes. This fascination further broadened to include the ocean when, at the age of five, he traveled with his family across the North Atlantic to England. Even then, Robert dreamt of dedicating his life to the ocean, a dream he fulfilled by joining the United States Navy. Stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, he explored the awe-inspiring ecosystems of the Pacific and Indian Oceans, amplifying his understanding and commitment to preserving the planet.

Upon completing his service—now with a parrot tattoo as a testament to his love for the sea—Robert returned to Vermont and embarked on a career in construction. Over the years, he taught his family the importance of conservation through scuba diving adventures in the Caribbean, Bahamas, and Florida Keys. Inspired by his young daughter’s inquisitive nature, Robert penned his first children’s book, “Ronnie the Raindrop,” which quickly became a beloved bedtime story among family and close friends. The story was the genesis of a multi-generational call to action for environmental protection.
